Does this sound like you?

Sun Spots & Age Spots ?

Flat brown patches from years of sun exposure — on the face, hands or décolletage.

Freckles ?

Clusters of small brown spots that darken and multiply with sun exposure.

Melasma ?

Larger, blotchy patches of pigment, often hormone-related, across the cheeks, forehead or upper lip.

Uneven Skin Tone ?

A dull, patchy or mottled complexion that makeup struggles to even out.

Sun Damage ?

The cumulative brown spots, dullness and rough texture left behind by UV exposure.

The Science

How light fades pigmentation.

01

Targeted Light

Specific wavelengths are absorbed by melanin — the dark pigment that forms spots and patches — without harming the surrounding skin.

02

Pigment Break-Up

That absorbed energy shatters the concentrated pigment into tiny particles and lifts surface spots.

03

Natural Fade

Over the following days the darkened spots flake away and your body clears the pigment, leaving brighter, more even skin.

“Pigmentation isn't one-size-fits-all — melasma in particular needs a careful, conservative approach. The art is matching the right wavelength to the right concern, which is exactly why every treatment begins with a proper skin assessment.”

Individual results vary, and a personalised assessment is provided before treatment. Pigmentation can be visibly lightened or cleared, though new pigment can form with sun exposure — so sun protection and maintenance sessions are recommended.

Good to Know

Frequently asked questions.

What concerns can these treatments help with?+
Sun spots, age spots, freckles, melasma, uneven skin tone, and the general dullness and brown patches left behind by sun damage.
Laser or IPL — which one is right for me?+
It depends on your concern. The Hollywood Spectra™ laser is ideal for defined spots, freckles and melasma, while Lumenis Stellar M22™ IPL suits diffuse sun damage and an uneven complexion. We'll confirm the best fit at your assessment — and sometimes a combination works best.
Does it hurt, and is there downtime?+
Most people describe a quick, warm snap, like a light flick. Treatments are fast and well tolerated. Treated spots often darken and look like fine coffee grounds for a few days before flaking away — but it's a walk-in, walk-out treatment with minimal downtime.
How many sessions will I need?+
It varies with the concern. Sun spots and freckles can respond in as few as one to three sessions, while melasma and widespread sun damage are usually managed with a short course. We'll outline a plan at your consultation.
Is melasma curable?+
Melasma is a chronic, hormone-driven condition, so it's managed rather than cured. Light-based treatment can noticeably lighten it, and with diligent sun protection and maintenance we can keep it well controlled. Sun spots and freckles, by contrast, can often be cleared more definitively.
Can the pigmentation come back?+
Treated spots are cleared, but your skin keeps making pigment — fresh sun exposure is the main cause of regrowth. Daily SPF and periodic maintenance keep your results looking their best.
Is there anyone it isn't suitable for?+
Recent sun exposure or a tan, certain medications and some skin conditions affect suitability and timing, and treatment is generally avoided in pregnancy. Deeper skin tones and melasma also need a tailored, conservative approach — your clinician will assess all of this before any treatment.
