How It Works
The peel solution works by loosening the bonds between dead skin cells so they shed more easily, decongesting the pores and prompting the skin to renew itself. As fresh skin comes to the surface, clarity, tone and texture improve. The strength and type of peel determine how deeply it works and how much renewal you’ll see.
What Happens in a Session
We begin by cleansing and prepping the skin, then apply the peel solution and leave it on for a carefully timed period. You may feel a mild tingling, warmth or slight prickling while it’s working, this is normal and settles quickly. We then neutralise and soothe the skin and finish with a protective SPF. The treatment itself is quick, and your therapist will talk you through exactly what to expect during and afterwards, along with the simple aftercare that helps you get the best result.
Downtime & Aftercare
Varies with peel strength, lighter peels cause little more than mild redness, while stronger peels can lead to a few days of redness and light flaking as the skin renews. Sun avoidance and daily SPF are essential afterwards, as the new skin is more sensitive to UV.
Sessions & Frequency
A short course, often three to six peels spaced a few weeks apart, gives the best results, with the exact plan confirmed at consultation. Lighter peels can also be enjoyed as regular maintenance.
Suitability
