How It Works
Light energy is absorbed by the pigment in the hair and travels down the hair shaft to the follicle, heating and disabling it. Because hair grows in cycles and the treatment works best on actively growing hairs, a course of sessions spaced over time is needed to progressively reduce regrowth across all the hairs in an area.
What Happens in a Session
We cleanse the area and apply a cooling gel, then deliver pulses of light across the skin. You’ll feel a quick, warm snapping sensation, with the platform’s cooling helping to keep you comfortable. Smaller areas like the underarms are very quick, while larger areas like the legs or back are treated efficiently in sections. Afterwards we apply soothing products and SPF, and explain the simple aftercare, including sun protection on treated areas, that keeps your skin comfortable and your results on track.
Downtime & Aftercare
Minimal, there may be some redness and warmth around the hair follicles for a few hours, which settles quickly. Avoid sun exposure and use daily SPF on treated areas while you work through your course.
Sessions & Frequency
A course of six to eight or more sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart, follows the hair-growth cycle for the best result, with occasional maintenance afterwards. Your plan is confirmed at consultation.
Suitability
